About Cargo In-Transit

Unisys CDMP-C solution 'Cargo In-Transit' is fully compliant of the IATA Phase 1 of Cargo iQ (CiQ) quality management system covering the Airport to Airport (A2A) operations on MAWB level. Cargo In-Transit is a supply-chain event-management and CiQ compliant Business Intelligent tool to enable or assist the airlines in meeting the CiQ objectives. Cargo In-Transit is a highly automated tool that provides planning, tracking, monitoring and measurement of various milestones of AWBs. Cargo In-Transit builds a route map of key timed milestones automatically on receipt of Booking Information (FSU:BKD message) from the carrier. This route plan is updated if a subsequent FSU update message is received. The system accepts FWB (freight Air Waybill) messages from forwarders and then tracks individual shipments from station to station based on FSU (freight status update) messages. It works through operational parameters set by carriers so that the tool can be tuned to reflect real-life scenarios. Cargo In-Transit provides following capabilities pertaining to the shipments moving from origin to destination.

  1. Communications visibility
  2. Full route map details are available for each consignment
  3. Proactive monitoring of the shipment vis-à-vis its route plan
  4. Baseline route map plan
  5. Customized alerts and Exception management
  6. Web-based reporting provides analysis and performance statements
  7. Full messaging history
  8. Quick information flows via the Internet
  9. Automated reporting
  10. Dashboards and performance reports
