About Cargo In-Transit
Unisys CDMP-C solution 'Cargo In-Transit' is fully compliant with IATA Phase 1 of Cargo iQ (CiQ) quality management system covering Airport to Airport (A2A) operations at the MAWB level. Cargo In-Transit is a supply-chain event-management and CiQ compliant Business Intelligent tool that enables or assists airlines in meeting the CiQ objectives. Cargo In-Transit is a highly automated tool that provides planning, tracking, monitoring and measurement of various AWB milestones. Cargo In-Transit builds a route map of key timed milestones automatically on receipt of booking information (FSU:BKD message) from the carrier. This route plan is updated if a subsequent FSU message is received. The system accepts FWB (Freight Air Waybill) messages from forwarders and then tracks individual shipments across stations based on FSU (Freight Status Update) messages. It works according to operational parameters set by carriers so that the tool can be tuned to reflect real-life scenarios. Cargo In-Transit provides the following capabilities pertaining to the shipments moving from origin to destination.
